A statement on climate change issued by the vice-president of the Royal Society of New Zealand (RSNZ), Professor Keith Hunter, has been described as "deeply flawed" in an Open Letter to the president of RSNZ by the chairman of the NZ Climate Science Coalition, Hon Barry Brill OBE. The role of the Prime Minister's Chief Science Adviser, Sir Peter Gluckman has been critiqued by Mr Brill, a former Minister of Science in an earlier NZ giovernment. In his critique, Mr Brill says: "The published Terms of Reference for the position clearly don’t include acting as a shill for NIWA’s brand of climate science."  For the text of the critique, here is the LINK
