Meteorologist debunks man-made Global Warming - Is Carbon Dioxide Getting a Bad Rap?

Excerpt: The [IPCC] report ignores the fact that total global stations decreased by 66 percent after 1990, and there was a ten-fold increase in months with no reported data from the remaining stations, mainly in the former Soviet Union and Africa. They also ignore the issue that the majority of world stations may not meet World Meteorological Organization standards for siting instruments, a problem that has also been widely documented in peer review journals. They ignore the half-dozen peer review papers suggesting that these problems could well account for 50 percent or more of the warming shown for the world data bases.

Politics and Supporting 'Live Earth' With Tax Dollars (Indian Museum in DC)

Excerpt: Markey's underlying argument: The Smithsonian was being improperly influenced by politics. Politics must be kept at a distance from this great American institution, lest its museums and programs be tarnished or brought into public disrepute.

Then surely the same accusation can be levied at the Smithsonian and the National Museum of the American Indian for sponsoring former Vice President Al Gore's overtly political speech Saturday on global warming.

Cows that burp less seen helping in climate fight

Excerpt: The average dairy cow belches out about 100 to 200 liters of methane each day, making diet changes a key potential factor in reducing this greenhouse gas.

For today's 'green' kids, saving the world is chic

Excerpt: Saving the world is chic with the PB&J set. And for every environmental morsel taught in school, there's a TV show or movie with an elementary take on the natural world. The characters are snuggly animals or audacious kids. They're happy-go-lucky -- even if global warming melts the ice, they can still hang 10 on a wave.

RFK Jr. Lashes out at politicians skeptical of global warming: 'This is treason. And we need to start treating them as traitors'

Excerpt: "Get rid of all these rotten politicians that we have in Washington, who are nothing more than corporate toadies," said Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the environmentalist author, president of Waterkeeper Alliance and Robert F. Kennedy's son, who grew hoarse from shouting. "This is treason. And we need to start treating them as traitors."

The Lavoisier Group 2007 Workshop 'Rehabilitating Carbon Dioxide' Presents New Scientific Reports Question Man-made global warming:

Excerpt: The papers presented at the Lavoisier Group's Workshop Rehabilitating Carbon Dioxide held in Melbourne on 29th and 30th June 2007, covered the two most important scientific issues at the heart of the current debate over global warming and its causes. The first is the influence, if any, of atmospheric carbon dioxide on the earth's climate. The second is the very well documented correlation between sunspot activity and climate changes during the last 1500 years or more. < >  “It means that atmospheric carbon dioxide has played virtually no role in influencing our climate since concentrations exceeded 200 ppmv during the last glacial maximum 20,000 years ago, and will play no discernible role in the future, regardless of the size of any increase of these concentrations. All of the huffing and puffing at the G8 or wherever these issues are discussed by heads of government and their officials is completely beside the point. Whether anthropogenic emissions of carbon dioxide are reduced or increased will make no discernible difference to the radiation balance and thus to global temperatures.”

1) Former EU & World Bank Economist slams Stern Review and Debunks Economics of global warming

The Da Vinci Code of ClimateChange Economics

By Tim Curtin - Report Excerpt: This paper questions the claims of the IPCC and the Stern Review that the predicted warming climate over the next 100 years will have serious adverse economic consequences for the poor everywhere and above all in Africa. Finally, the paper suggests that attempts to reduce carbon emissions by systems of caps and trades are unlikely to produce any net reductions in emissions.< > In sum, Nicholas Stern’s quest for the da Vinci code that will save the globe may seem in retrospect as no more than another of those episodes like the persecution of the Witches of Salem that occasionally beset the most rational and well ordered societies.

2) A Theoretical Analysis of the Effect of Greenhouse

Gases in the Atmosphere

By Michael Hammer – Report Excerpt: “Only a small portion of the temperature rise is due to the direct action of carbon dioxide with much of the remainder being due to positive feedback via water vapour.” < >  “It suggests that an increase in CO2 concentration from the current 379 ppm to 560 ppm is likely to cause a temperature increase of about 0.12 degrees (0.22 degrees C for a change from 280 ppm to 560 ppm) and that the positive feedback effect from water vapour should be less than 15% of this direct effect. These results are about 20 times lower than the IPCC predictions.”

Meteorologist Mocks Gore Concerts: ‘Live Earth! (Is It Dead Yet?)’

Excerpt: All of this pointless hysteria will produce nothing to save the planet, but will bring in millions of dollars so the "campaign" can continue to irritate us. They have created a whole new language and lifestyle which each of us are to follow. "If you ain't green, then you're mean" I've been told. I guess I'm mean.

People Cool On Live Earth

Excerpt: Live Earth is feeling the heat after it failed to attract the worldwide support it hoped for. The international concert aimed at raising awareness and money for global warming was expected to attract 2 billion viewers around the globe. However, just 2.7 million people tuned into the telecast in America.
