Contrary to the IPCC’s statement that it is “very likely” sea-level rise is accelerating, the highest quality coastal tide gauges from around the world show no evidence of acceleration since the 1920s. Local and regional sea levels continue to exhibit typical natural variability, unrelated to change...

New Zealand blog Climate Conversation has just issued this media releaae: "Global warming fear is powered by the belief that we cause it, but the UN now tacitly admit they can’t prove it, after a group of prominent New Zealand sceptics asked the IPCC Secretariat for evidence of dangerous man-made warming and got nothing."

And here's further proof: DOWNLOAD ALLISON PDF

Distinguished Canadian climate scientist, Professor Timothy Ball, explains why and how it is important to help ordinary people understand that claims of dangerous human-caused "global warming" is a hoax that will cost us billions of dollars and do nothing to change global temperatures.

In this post to WattsUpWithThat (WUWT), Canadian scientist, Allan M.R. MacRae, B.A.Sc., M.Eng., tells how a Centennial Leadership Award he had been granted for 2019 was withdrawn because he challenged claims about climate change on WUWT.

This post is a video of Zoom presentation by Emeritus Professor Geoff Duffy, of University of Auckland, New Zealand, to a men's group, The Shed, in which he explains the difference between weather and climate and the Sun-driven factors that drive the temperatures of Planet Earth. (To start the video, click on the small triangle in the lower lefthand corner, so that word "Play" comes up).

This paper by Mark P. Mills at the Manhattan Institute highlights the physics of energy to illustrate why there is no possibility that the world is undergoing—or can undergo—a near-term transition to a “new energy economy.”

"Currently, sea-level rise does not seem to depend on ocean temperature, and certainly not on CO2. We can expect the sea to continue rising at about the present rate for the foreseeable future. By 2100 the seas will rise another 6 inches or so—a far cry from Al Gore’s alarming numbers. There is noth...

Bjorn Lomborg writes for "The Australian": "The risk is that outsized fear will take us down the wrong path in tackling global warming. Concerned activists want the world to abandon fossil fuels as quickly as possible. But it will mean slowing the growth that has lifted billions out of poverty and transformed the planet. That has a real cost."

An important new paper by Dr David Whitehouse for the Global Warming Policy Foundation reveals that 2019 was mostly without sunspots. For a long period, the Sun was spot-free for 90% of the time, making the period of minimum activity at the end of Solar Cycle 24* and the beginning of Cycle 25 one of the deepest solar minima ever observed. Understanding the 11-year solar cycle is important, not just for the science of the Sun, but also for appreciating and predicting its influence on Earth and its climate. This paper discusses some of these issues.

In a hard-hitting speech, former Australoian Prime Minister, Tony Abbott has called on his country to follow the United States in pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord. "Knowing what we know now, we would not have made the Paris agreement. But if we wouldn’t have done it, had we known; we shouldn’t be in it, now that we do." (The late Professor Robert Carter, at whose Commemorative Lecture Mr Abbott spoke, was a founding member of our Coalition).

Interesting keynote address in Amsterdam by Nick Lewis, who graduated in mathematics and physics from Cambridge University, and after a successul mid-life career in finance, turrned his attention to climate science, as he explains in this video:

The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (UN IPCC) is misleading humanity about climate change and sea levels, a leading expert on sea levels who served on the UN IPCC told The New American. In fact, it is more likely that sea levels will decline, not rise, explained Dr. Nils-Axel Mörner, the retired head of the paleogeophysics and geodynamics at Stockholm University.

Australian author Tony Thomas posts at Quadrant: "Adult climate catastrophists have flipped to censorship, abuse and hysteria to back tomorrow’s climate-truant kids and the latest UN gabfest in New York on Monday. The ‘progressive’ media has dropped its mask of objectivity, with more than 170 global...

Emeritus Professor Geoff Duffy writes: "The GHG concentration of the actual atmosphere is 1.028% of the total atmosphere, based on water vapour being 1% (200C, 75% Relative Humidity). The main gases from possible agricultural sources (methane and nitrous oxide) total only 0.02% of all the GHG, or 0.00021% of the total atmosphere......Hence, it can be concluded from all the available evidence that their contribution to any potential change in weather is miniscule".

Two days ago, the New Zealand Herald published an op-ed by Professor Emeritus Geoff Duffy, of University of Auckland, NZ, rebutting claims about emissions of methane by livestock contained in a report to our Parliament by the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment. Today in the Herald is a letter to the editor from one Paul Judge, of Hamilton, calling Prof Duffy a "climate denier", and challenging Geoff's statements about absence of warming. Read below, Geoff's article, and look at graphs that weren't in the Herald article. Then decide for yourself: who is the real denier?

The Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Petteri Taalas, says that the alarmist narrative on climate change has gone off the rails and criticised the news media for provoking unjustified anxiety. Speaking to Finland’s financial newspaper Talouselämä (“The Journal”) on 6 September 2019, Petteri Taalas called for cooler heads to prevail, saying that he does not accept arguments that the end of the world is at hand: "It is not going to be the end of the world. The world is just becoming more challenging. In parts of the globe living conditions are becoming worse, but people have survived in harsh conditions."

Dr Benny Peiser, GWPF says Taalas statement is "unprecedented":

"Few world leaders are lining up to deliver what UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres had in mind when he called them together for a New York conference to boost ambition. The New York meeting, scheduled for September 23, was conceived as a show of global defiance at US President Donald Trump’s decision to ditch the Paris Agreement. Rather than a competition for more robust action, as was intended, the New York agenda looks deflated.". Graham Lloyd writes in 'The Australian'.

Guest poster to the New Zealand blog, TheBDF, Max Sky, explains why the Marxist origins of climate change alarmism is a pagan cult.

The Honorary Chair and CEO of Environomics Trust N.Z. Peter J Morgan, has responded to a columnist in the New Zealand Herald, David Cormack, asking for proof of his (Cormack's) claims that carbon dioxide causes abnormal global warming.

We re-post this important paper by Drs Jock Allison (New Zealand) and Tom Sheahen (USA) to facilitate its discovery by our website search engine, in view of the extraordinarily wide demand for access to a paper that corrects outrageous over-exaggeration about the effects of agricultural emissions of trace gases such as carbon dioxide and methane.
